Christmas Decorating ideas in under 15 minutes
Christmas is my absolutely favourite time of the year. I simply adore the festive period of Christmas, but it can also be extremely busy and overwhelming. For me organisation is key. Planning ahead keeps me on track and allows me to focus my attention on the reason for the season.... and the menu!
A well decorated tree is a must in our home, but I also like to add vignettes of Christmas throughout the home. Here are 3 easy ideas that you can complete in under 15 minutes and will look fabulous anywhere in your home.
Idea 1: Baubles in cloches
Over the years, I've collected many domes or cloches and jars of all different shapes and sizes. They get a good work out during Christmas! Tip your dome or cloche upside down and layer your baubles till 90% full. Place the base on the top and turn over for an instant Christmas update. This idea can be a great way to introduce the colour theme for the year. A dome decorated this way would look beautiful in an entryway or dining room grouped together or solo on a buffet or sideboard.

Idea 2: Potted live Christmas trees
I usually like to decorate an outdoor table with natural and organic elements and these adorable mini potted Christmas trees are a crowd pleaser every time. I usually pot them in white pots, but this year we are going clear! The natural elements of the green and soil look can look so fresh. Try mixing a few different vases together for an interesting grouping. We love how Chyka mixed her's with silver and gold lanterns for a festive atmosphere. A few scattered acorns added to the grouping will look perfect as a table centrepiece or tie a wide burlap ribbon around the vase and you've got the perfect gift for the green thumb in your family.

Idea 3: Double Hurricane
This idea is not only perfect at Christmas time, but can be adapted to be used all year round. Simply get yourself a couple of hurricanes: one small and one large. Place the small hurricane within the large and fill the wall between the small and large hurricane with your choice of festive décor. Light a candle in the small hurricane for a beautiful glow at night. Mini faux-tree sprayed with a little white snow can look magical while shiny baubles add festive colour, or dress your hurricane with cinnamon sticks and fruit for a sensory delight.
