Alfresco Living; Creating a space to relax & entertain

It doesn’t matter how big or small your outdoor area; you can still achieve a beautiful outdoor space with our key styling principles. Feel inspired, and see how you can transform your alfresco, veranda, courtyard or pool house into the perfect relaxing & entertaining space.

Rugs. Layer an outdoor rug over pavers or decking for an instant refresh. Rugs serve as foundation for your furniture layout and help to define the space, so the bigger the better. Our top picks are; Herringbone, Catamaran, French Riviera & Diamond in blues and neutrals. Best part; these outdoor rugs are low maintenance. Hose them down to keep them looking new.

Decorate. Consider decorating your Alfresco as you would any other room in your home. Layer with soft furnishings and accessories for an inviting feel. Always choose outdoor grade fabrics and quality materials that will stand the test of time and make entertaining outdoors a breeze.
Both our Provence & Portofino Collections, are made with outdoor grade materials such as all-weather wicker, powder coasted aluminium, quick-dry foam and Sunbrella fabrics for longevity, comfort & style. Our St Barts Cart is a fun addition to an outdoor area (or indoor room for that matter) and doubles as a bar which is especially handy when entertaining a crowd.

Update your lighting. Creating an outdoor space you'll want to relax and entertain in is all about ambience. Lighting can make a big impact to any space, so to incorporate a feature pendant or wall lights for instant update and wow factor. Lanterns, candles and fire-pits are a great way to add some interest to your outdoor area and add warmth and dimension.

Our Darlana outdoor pendant is a perfect example of statement meets function. With well dispersed light and a pretty shape, this pendant is our go to for making a statement. Our sweet Marisol chandelier would look fabulous in a well sheltered Alfresco. Don't you feel like you could be anywhere in France? Our favourite wall lights are the Linear Wall light as they work well in both classic and contemporary homes, however the Dunmore is truly something special. With curved glass louvers, these lights look stunning during the day and magical at night. We can't wait to see these lights installed in our Claremont project. Match your set. Your outdoor space is one area where matchy-match sets work well. There's already so much beauty in nature to contend with and a matching furniture set will give your alfresco a cohesive look and feel. Here's the trick; mix up other decorative elements. Add personality through side tables, decorative planters and fun cushions.

Our Harbour side table and ceramic stools are a perfect example. Perennials offer quality designer fabrics which elevate the most simple outdoor sofa.
