Painted Timber Disclaimer

Our painted timber collections are crafted from solid hardwood and finished with a durable painted coating.

As timber is a natural, hygroscopic material, it responds to changes in temperature and humidity throughout the seasons. Combined with normal movement during transport and the natural expansion and contraction of solid timber, fine hairline cracks may develop in the painted finish—particularly around joins, glue lines and corners.

These subtle characteristics are a natural feature of painted solid timber furniture and are not considered manufacturing defects. They do not affect the strength, quality or longevity of the piece.

If you are seeking a perfectly uniform painted finish with no natural movement, engineered materials such as MDF or plywood may be a more suitable choice. For those who appreciate the beauty and authenticity of solid timber, these characteristics simply become part of the furniture's unique story.
